Staff
Timothy J. Abel, PhD (University of Toledo '91, '96, Albany '01)- joined the Society staff as Director in 2005. Dr. Abel comes from a 25-year background in archaeology and cultural resource management. He has published more than 37 professional articles on history and prehistory, and is also an adjunct instructor at Jefferson Community College.
Elaine Bock, BS (Oswego '06)- joined the Society staff as an administrative assistant in 1981. As Business Manager, she now oversees the business functions of the Society.
Melissa Widrick, BA (Oswego '86)- is a Teaching Assistant with Jefferson-Lewis BOCES assigned to the Society as Curator of Education. She has been in this position since 1986, managing our "Museum to Schools" and other education programs.
Lenka P. Walldroff, BA (Dickinson '03)- joined the Society staff in March as Collections Manager. Prior to coming to JCHS, Lenka worked as a museum specialist and conservator at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. She has also interned in art conservation in Italy and the Czech Republic.
David T. Coleman- joined the Society staff as part-time Custodian in October 2006. He is responsible for keeping the facilities and grounds looking their best.
